About the nursery plants.
Plants grown here at the nursery, for sale at the nursery, are grown in compost that is made on site. Plants are fertized with a time release fertilizer that works for the entire growing season. We keep our plants healthy so they will winter in the pots without covering and be just as healthy next year as they are this year. Pots are treated with a preemergent herbicide to keep the pots looking nice and prevent weeds from taking over.
Plants that will be shipped from website sales, are grown in a soilless medium to insure freedom from pests. Or, they will be barerooted.
