                                                      Hosta 'First Frost'
One of the best sports to be discovered from Hosta 'Halcyon'...the reverse pattern of Hosta 'June'. This Patricia Scolnik of Chapel Hill discovery adds a nice creamy-yellow margin to the attractive blue leaves of the parent. The result is a 3' wide clump of blue leaves with a 1/2" border of creamy yellow that ages to white by season's end. The clumps are topped with 2' tall scapes of light lavender flowers in midsummer. Registered in 2002. This durable hosta received its name because it looks great until autumn's "first frost." Stunning! American Hosta Growers Hosta of the Year in  2010.
